Watch how Piers Morgan reacts to Donald Trump unfollowing him on Twitter

Piers Morgan has slammed USA President Donald Trump after choosing to unfollow him on Twitter.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, the TV host criticised Trump's leadership, branding it as "terrible" during an earlier interview regarding his recent remarks about ingesting disinfectants to 'cure' COVID19.

President Trump has since said his coronavirus disinfectant comments were 'sarcastic', however it seems Piers was having none if it and continued to slam the world leader.

Now, it appears it's gone too far, with Piers revealing on the show today: "I criticised him so harshly he unfollowed me on Twitter."

When asked by his co-presenter Susanna Reid how it felt to be unfollowed by Trump, Piers didn't seem too bothered.

“I woke up, found out I had been unfollowed and went, huh… I’m over it." He said.

“If he doesn’t want to hear constructive criticism from a friend, that’s for him. He doesn’t have to.

“I wish he would listen to me, because if he could just pivot to being more presidential in a war footing, and more empathetic and stop floating mad theories and stop having these stupid arguments with people.

“That’s all pre-corona - other leaders have realised you have got to pivot, you’ve got to change.

“Trump hasn’t changed at all.

"We’re seeing the same guy that we saw before and his opinion poll ratings are falling, and that will probably cost him the election.

“It will be his own mouth that does it.”

Agreeing with Piers, Susanna said how she feels the disinfectant comment has "wounded him".

Piers went on to add: “I just hope he changes. It’s too serious. Fifty five thousand Americans have died, many more are going to die, he just needs to stand there and be the president of the united states, and stop picking these stupid fights.”

“And only talk about treatments when you know about treatments,” chipped in Susanna.

“Just don’t talk about treatments at all.”
