Watch how Minecraft showed Year 8 pupils around their new school

A secondary school has used a popular computer game to show pupils around their new school.

St Joseph's Secondary School in Derry used Minecraft to turn their premises into online video game world.

Writing on Facebook, St Joseph's said: "Welcome to our Year 8 intake of 20-21!

"We are delighted to have you as pupils of this great school.

"You are getting a sneak preview of your new surroundings."

The virtual reality was created by students under the watchful eye of teacher Mr Hegarty.

Principle of the school, Mrs McCarron said: "Thank you to all our Year 8 pupils, I hope you enjoyed your tour of our school.

"We look forward to seeing you in September.

"In the meantime, enjoy your summer, stay safe and do not worry about moving to your new big school."
