It wasn’t the ending the Ohio State men’s basketball team wanted, but in the end it fought tooth and nail with a very, very good Houston team after completing an improbable upset over No. 6 seed Iowa State.
Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson met with the media after the 74-59 win over the Buckeyes and spoke mostly about his team and the path for the Cougars going forward, but he did take time out in his opening statement to congratulate Ohio State and Chris Holtmann on a fantastic season. One in which the Buckeyes were one of 32 teams left standing.
