Watch Hollywood star Vanessa Hudgens rush over to kiss woman's dog during Netflix filming in Edinburgh

Vanessa Hudgens has been taking time out from filming in Edinburgh to meet fans of both human kind and dog kind.

The High School Musical star has been filming in capital as part of the sequel to Netflix festive hit The Princess Switch.

Despite a gruelling production schedule, the 31-year-old actress had a brief moment to meet Jasper the dog outside Parliament Square on Sunday afternoon.

The King Charles Cavalier was accompanied alongside owner Linda Lee Thomson - who filmed the actress falling in love with the cute one-and-a-half year old pup.

Hudgens can be seen leaving a car before rushing over to give Jasper a big cuddle at the side of the street.

“He’s never been in a movie before”, said excited Jasper’s owner as Hudgens continues to hug the Scots pup.

Linda told the Record that the actress quickly dashed off and got straight onto filming after the pair’s short embrace.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again is the follow up to the Christmas film released on Netflix in November 2018.
