Watch: Holly takes over This Morning after Phil fills his mouth with squirty cream

Holly Willoughby was forced to take over This Morning after Phillip Schofield gorged himself in creamy deserts and filled his mouth with squirty cream.

Phil released his inner child and gave into the temptation of squirting a large can of cream into his mouth during a segment on Retro desserts and how to make your own sundae and banana split with celebrity chef, James Martin.

After both presenters were wowed and quickly ate 'giant ruby' chocolate buttons while making ice-cream sundaes, James Martin showed them how to make the perfect banana split.

You can see the moment Phil got distracted and filled his mouth with cream in the video above.

Mischievous Phil can be seen looking towards the producers off screen while shaking the can a number of times, before squirting into his mouth.

As James attempted to carry on, Holly began laughing at her immature side-kick who was forced to use a napkin to get rid of some of the excess cream.

Shortly after James had finished, Holly found herself forced to host the show on her own after Phil continued to gorge himself with the ice-cream sundae and banana split rendering himself unable to speak.

"You're not done are you?", Holly asked Phil as he made gestures towards his mouth.

After Holly was preparing to cut to a break, Phil revealed why he was unable to deliver his line to camera:

"I found a marshmallow!" said Phil.

His discovery left Holly distracted, leaving her rummaging to find the marshmallow hidden in her sundae before the show cut to an ad break.

This Morning returns at 10am tomorrow.
