Watch hilarious video of Dumfries and Galloway police officers taking on the Blinding Lights TikTok challenge

Two Dumfries and Galloway police officers have gone viral with their attempt at the Blinding Lights TikTok challenge.

Constables Wicks and Porteous’ efforts have been viewed more than 70,000 times after they filmed themselves dancing to The Weeknd’s track while taking a break on night shift.

The video was posted on the region’s police Facebook page on Tuesday night and has gone down a storm with followers, clocking up more than 4,000 likes and nearly 1,000 shares.

The post said: “In between calls on the night shift, Police Constables Wicks and Porteous were perfecting their dance moves.

“Again, we hope this video brings a smile and some laughter to your day during these uncertain, challenging times.

“Bringing some cheer during #COVID-19.

“#StaySafeSaveLives.”

The majority of people gave the officers the thumbs up for their dance moves, with one suggesting “Think police should do this every time they get out of the vans as new protocol”.
