This is the moment a family of swans brought traffic to a stand-still on a busy road in Paisley .
Two adult swans and their cygnets can be seen crossing a busy main road in Paisley on Friday afternoon as traffic stops on either side.
Drivers abandoned their cars at the side of the road to try and direct the family across the street in the Millarston area of Paisley.
The footage taken by Emma Crawford shows a man and two women trying to direct the family out of the way of oncoming traffic.
One swan takes a peck at a woman who tries to help as the second swan and five cygnets stay together.
The cygnets decide to sit down on the road unaware of the chaos around them.
A child in the background of the video says: "This is the best day ever!"
Emma posted a picture of the group after they safely made their way onto the pavement.
Footage later emerged of the family being herded along Stable Grove in Paisley by another woman.
