The Los Angeles Rams waited until Day 3 of the draft to add a nose tackle, but they found a good one in Greg Gaines out of Washington. He’s a stocky defensive tackle who can play anywhere between the guards, clogging running lanes and making plays against the run.
He showed flashes of impacting the game as a pass rusher last season with 4.5 sacks, but his primary responsibility will be to stop the run. He did plenty of that at Washington and it showed on the tape.
