The Jets are adding some depth to the inside linebacker position with Minnesota’s Blake Cashman.
Cashman was a four-year player at Minnesota, but started as a walk-on. It took him two years to get a scholarship at Minnesota, but he earned it. Cashman didn’t burst onto the scene until his sophomore season when he recorded 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks. His stats dipped a bit in his junior season, as he only had 30 tackles. But Cashman had his coming out party last season when he had 104 total tackles and five pass defenses. He was named third-team all-conference as well.
