The Jets addressed the cornerback position with Rutgers’ Blessuan Austin in the sixth-round of the 2019 NFL draft.
Austin was a four-year player at Rutgers, but didn’t see the field much due to injury. After starting 20 games in his first two seasons, Austin managed to only find the field five times in his junior and senior seasons. For his college career, he recorded 89 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, and 18 pass defenses.
