The Kansas City Chiefs selected Tulane CB BoPete Keyes at pick No. 237 in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft after making a trade with the Tennessee Titans.
It’s pretty rare for a team to trade into the seventh round to select a player when they’ve finished drafting. The Chiefs didn’t want to fight other teams to sign this kid. Using that draft capital also tells you that they really like that Keyes and expect him to become a contributor in the future. He’s a long, coverage-diverse corner with ball skills. You can never have enough of those guys in the NFL.
