Watch highlights of Jacob Harris, the Rams’ dynamic new tight end

It’s rare to find a player who’s 6-foot-5 and runs a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, but the Los Angeles Rams uncovered one in the fourth round of the draft on Saturday. They selected Jacob Harris, who was a wide receiver at UCF but is likely to play tight end with the Rams.

He’s an athletic freak with a high ceiling, though he needs a lot of work as a blocker and his hands must improve. But looking at his highlights with the Knights, he pulled in some impressive catches, including a few where he high-pointed the ball and came down with the reception.

Check out these plays from Harris’ college career, which the Rams shared on Twitter.

For a more extensive look at Harris’ game, there’s a longer highlight package below. You’ll notice how many downfield passes he caught, with his quarterback targeting him down the seam often.

If Harris can become more reliable as a receiver and improve his jump-ball skills, he can become a weapon on offense for the Rams and not just a special teams contributor.
