WATCH: Highlights from Brandon Allen’s first NFL start

Brandon Allen made his first NFL start on Sunday and helped the Broncos defeat the Browns 24-19. Allen completed 60 percent of his passes for 193 yards with two touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Here are highlights from Allen’s first regular-season game, courtesy of NFL.com:

“He did well,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said of Allen after the win. “I thought he ran the offense well, showed a little mobility, made some good throws, missed a few too. We’re not ready to put him in Canton yet, but overall pleased with the way he played.”

Allen (6-2, 209 pounds) entered the league as a sixth-round pick out of Arkansas with the Jaguars in 2016. After spending his rookie season in Jacksonville, Allen spent the last two years as a backup with the Rams before joining the Broncos in September.

Allen served as Joe Flacco’s backup for the first eight games of the season and was named the starter for Week 9 after Flacco went down with a neck injury. Allen is expected to start again against the Vikings in Week 11. Denver will have a bye this week.
