Running back isn’t a huge need for the Detroit Lions, but they couldn’t afford to pass on Maryland running back Ty Johnson with the second of their two sixth-round picks.
Johnson isn’t exactly a power or a scat back, he’s probably somewhere in the middle. However, he has outstanding speed and vision, which could be enough for Johnson to make a difference on special teams at the very least.
