This is the heartwarming moment an elephant cuddles her calf after being separated for days.
Footage showed the calf, aged between four and five months, sleeping pressed up against its mother after it had become separated from its herd.
The calf was found wandering alone by park officials in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve at Pollachi, India.
It had disappeared on December 29 and was found roughly 3km away from its family.
Wardens washed down the calf and coated him in mud to remove any human smells before releasing it close to the herd.
Eventually, the youngster found its way to its mother and video footage the following day captured the pair napping together after their reunion.
