NEW DELHI: Jake Fraser-McGurk showcased his exceptional hitting skills with a blazing 27-ball 84 in soaring Delhi heat as he propelled the Delhi Capitals to an impressive total of 257 for four against the Mumbai Indians in an IPL match on Saturday.

Fraser-McGurk shone in the early innings, while Tristan Stubbs added sparkle in the latter stages with an unbeaten 48 off 25 balls, contributing to DC's highest-ever IPL score.

Opening for DC for the second time this season, the 22-year-old Fraser-McGurk tied his own record for the fastest fifty this season, reaching the milestone in just 15 balls after the hosts were put in to bat by MI.

Hardik Pandya, who took over as Mumbai Indians captain for the IPL 2024 season from Rohit Sharma, appeared frustrated as his bowlers were heavily punished during the first 10 overs.

A video of Pandya expressing his anger went viral during the match.
