A Hamilton woman has blown people away with her stunning voice after an impromptu singing session in the town centre.
Jade Hannah was shopping after the New Year when she heard a young man singing at the top cross.
Intrigued by the "amazing" voice she could hear, Jade decided to walk up and see who was performing in the street.
Jade was delighted to realise the singer was indeed her old school friend, Brian Hamilton. Stopping for a chat the pair got talking about their love of singing and Brian invited Jade up to the mic to show what she could do.
And the 24-year-old wowed Hamilton shoppers with her rendition of Etta James' At Last.
Brian recorded Jade's performance and it was later posted on multiple social media platforms and racked up thousands of views, comments and likes.
A surprised Jade told Lanarkshire Live: "I went to school with Brian. We got talking and he wanted to hear me sing and that’s when I started At Last by Etta James.
"I didn’t expect the response that it got and was really blown away by people's kind words in the street.
"In fact one woman actually approached me and said I sang with such soul and had a lovely voice, that was really touching."
Now Jade, who performs locally and in Glasgow pubs, said she plans on working with Brian in the future having heard his talent.
She added: "We are definitely going to meet and collaborate on some duets together in the future. I'm really excited about it actually as he has an amazing voice. He is a real raw talent."
