Hamilton Accies legend Dougie Imrie hopes David Templeton's return can be the catalyst for more Lanarkshire Derby success over Motherwell.
Templeton is back at New Douglas Park for a second spell after spending a season at Accies in 2017.
The 31-year-old winger was a deadline day signing for Hamilton and Imrie, who made well over 200 appearances for the club before hanging up his boots last season for a development coach role, reckons Templeton can be the main man against the Steelmen on Saturday.
Imrie, Played in 18 Lanarkshire derbies for Hamilton, scoring four goals, said: "It's great to have him back.
"He was massive player when he was first here and he'll be massive for us in the remaining games of the season.
"If we can get David into the pitch more and get the 90 minutes out of him he'll be a massive player for us.
"You could see his quality in the St Mirren game. He gets one chance and he bangs it in the back of the net.
"We've been missing that wee spark, something a bit different and David's got that.
"He's a very talented player, a quick thinker and if we can get the ball to him in and around the box, he'll put goals into the back of the net."
