Watch hair-raising moment Ryanair plane lands at Edinburgh Airport amid Storm Dennis winds

The moment a Ryanair plane landed at Edinburgh Airport amid strong winds from Storm Dennis was captured on video.

Flight FR3183 landed at the airport on Saturday, February 15 after taking off from Londonderry.

Ross Thomson took the video of the aircraft just as it touched down on the tarmac.

It banks sharply when the landing gear hits the ground as the pilot contends with the strong wind.  Ross can be heard saying "woah!"

His video, titled "Storm Dennis Dangerous Landing Edinburgh Airport", has been seen thousands of times on YouTube.

No damage was reported and the aircraft landed safely despite the windy conditions.

Storm Dennis brought several days of travel disruption to Edinburgh and the Lothians, coming shortly after Storm Ciara.

It brought fearsome gales to Scotland, with Edinburgh Airport warning passengers about possible disruption.

The high winds meant conditions were difficult at other airports around the UK during Storm Dennis.

On the same day at Birmingham Airport, a Flybe plane was seen swerving from side to side as it came in to land amid turbulence.

Birmingham Live reported that all passengers were safe following the pilot's impressive landing.

While Storm Dennis has passed, the weather outlook remains bleak for the rest of the month.

In fact it has been the wettest February on record, according to STV's Sean Batty.
