Hailstones the size of golf balls fall at Parliament house in Australia

This incredible footage shows hailstones, the size of golf balls destroying a tree outside Parliament house in Australia.

Taken by journalist Tamsin Rose in Canberra the video illustrates the crazy weather Australians are experiencing at the moment.

Australia is still recovering from the devastating bush fires that raged across the country destroying over 10 million miles of acres and killing over 1 billion animals.

The abnormal weather has caused a stir on Twitter with many claiming that climate change is the reason behind the strange downpours.

One user said: "Perfectly normal for January.....nothing to see here......definately nothing to do with the so called climate change conspiracy, that's for sure. Golf ball sized hail stones in Canberra in late January is so normal."

But another disagreed saying: "First it was climate change, now it's the hail in Canberra. This is what Climate Change looks like."
