Rangers stars have warned ‘we don’t play friendlies’ as they look forward to tonight’s winner takes all clash with Young Boys in the UEFA Europa League.
The Ibrox side are the club in focus in a series of UEFA videos which challenge preconceptions about the competition and look at some of the top clubs involved this season.
Rangers are currently top of Group G with one game to play and face Young Boys at Ibrox tonight.
In one of a series of four videos presented by Instagram vlogger and football fan Manny on a recent visit to Ibrox, he joins Greg Docherty, Jamie Murphy and Matt Polster at Rangers ’ Hummel Training Ground.
Donning his boots and a training top he joins them for training session and takes them on a game of two touch, with ‘air flicks’ on a cold Glasgow day for anyone who lets the ball drop.
He also finds out what the players think of the Europa League and when asked about the supposedly ‘friendly’ atmosphere in games, he is told by Greg Docherty: “We don’t play friendlies.”
The players also talk about what it takes to ‘go all the way’ in this competition and heightened expectations under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
