Watch: Golfer in Australia captures video of a red-bellied snake hanging out in a hole

Golfers on a Sydney, Australia, course were slowed just a bit on the second hole.

No, it wasn’t slow play backing things up early in the round at the Coast Golf Club in Little Bay.

Turns out it was a red-bellied black snake that decided to curl up in the cup on the second green.

Luke Goodier shot some cool video of the snake sitting in the hole before slithering out and gliding across the green.

Red bellies are common in that area of Australia. Goodier said the snake “stayed and watched a couple of groups come through.”

The video was originally posted on Instagram by the resort, with a caption saying golfers were happy to take the two putts offered and move on.
