It's been over four decades since Charlie Chaplin passed away in Switzerland - but people might be mistaken for thinking he was alive and well and living or working in Bridgeton.
That's after a video was shared on Twitter of a man attempting to take what looks like a huge JCB tyre up the road on a shopping trolley while cycling - in a scene reminiscent of a silent film.
The man was spotted making the hilarious attempt to move the tyre on Broad Street earlier today by a member of the public, who caught all the side-splitting action on camera and posted it online along with the caption: 'A new way to take a tyre to McConechys only in Glasgow'.
And if the slapstick feel the video isn't bad enough as the cyclist snakes up the street at about one mile an hour while holding on to his bike with one hand, it gets even more Chaplinesque as the guy pulls off the death-defying stunt of dodging a workie van that almost collides with him.
The near-miss happens near the end of the video as the cyclist attempts a right hand turn onto nearby Rimsdale Street, with only the quick thinking of the van driver saving Chaplin's bacon.
It's left us wondering why he didn't just get a taxi to save him all the bother!
