Watch: Georgia RB D’Andre Swift stays positive after loss

Georgia running back D’Andre Swift was not put in a position to succeed in yesterday’s loss to South Carolina.

The interior of the Bulldogs’ offensive line looked to be getting beat up in the run game, but UGA offensive coordinator James Coley still continued to rush the ball up the gut for minimal success.

Swift also missed out on a chance to put Georgia in field goal range at the end of regulation after Jake Fromm missed him on an angle route out of the backfield. The throw was behind him, but had it been accurate Swift would have picked up 10+ yards easily.

Swift still rushed for 113 yards on the day but he was never able to get much going, thanks in large part to the fact that there was simply nowhere to go.

Following his frustrating game, Swift fielded questions from the media with a positive outlook on things.

He recalled last year’s loss to LSU and how Georgia still controlled its own destiny.

He also said that there’s no such thing as a good loss, but maybe this is what the team needed to wake up and get on track.
