Watch Gateshead Christmas party crowd go mad as Children of the Night is played

When it comes to 90s dance anthems there is one particular song that people in the North East had and still have a great affinity with.

The track in question is Children of the Night and there were wild scenes at a Christmas party in Gateshead last week as the hands in the air, happy hardcore classic was performed at a bash that was a huge celebration of all things 90s.

The latest in a series of themed nights at the Lancastrian Suite in Dunston, Re-Live the 90s attracted a crowd of friends, family and work colleagues who enjoyed free flowing festive drinks, a three course meal and loads of songs from the era.

Many of the tracks were brought to the stage by live performers and after renditions of the likes of No Limit, Boom Shake The Room, Just A Little Bit and Let's Get Ready to Rhumble got everyone going, Children of the Night threatened to lift the roof off the Fed Brewery as everyone went crazy when vocalist Gemma Waite belted it out.

Children of the Night was famously chosen by fans of Gateshead FC to be the club's walk out track for their home matches last season.

The themed fun continues at the Lancastrian Suite this week with an 80s New Year's Eve bash, which you can still get tickets for.
