The strong play from wide receiver DJ Chark and rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew II has continued. After linking up for a touchdown in the first series of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 5 battle with the Carolina Panthers, the two did it again in the second half, cutting the Panthers’ lead to just a touchdown.
The strong connection between the two once again showed as Chark ran what looked to be an outside post into the end zone. The ball was thrown with such precision by Minshew that the defender had no chance.
The Jags also were able to get three points from a field goal before the half, but the Panthers answered back with a Christian McCaffrey touchdown after the half, bringing the score to 28-17.
