Lonzo Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers shared center stage in the latest episode of Bleacher Report’s Game of Zones, available on the B/R app and on the website.
The episode is centered on the storylines from the trade deadline with the first half focusing on the Dallas Mavericks trading for Kristaps Porzingis. The second half of the episode, though, zooms in on the Lakers’ fiasco in attempting to trade for Anthony Davis.
Kyle Kuzma first roasts Ball’s aim as he practices archery. A jab is thrown at Big Baller Brand as Ball is forced to climb up a tower to reclaim an errant arrow. Upon climbing up, Ball overhears a conversation with LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the two discussing teaming up at the cost of the team’s young core, Ball included.
James and Davis would catch Ball peering through a window and, in a direct callback to Game of Thrones, Ball is tossed out the window onto the fellow members of his young core. The episode ends with Magic Johnson’s arms around Davis and James with one last joke about Johnson’s sudden resignation tossed in.
In all, it’s a hilarious look at what was a comically bad scene in real life.
