Galway United and Longford Town find themselves just two steps away from a place in the League of Ireland Premier Division next season.
The promotion hopefuls clash at the UCD Bowl in the First Division play-off final at 7.45pm this evening, with the winner advancing to face whichever side finished ninth in the Premier Division after the last round of fixtures this Monday.
Longford overcame UCD in the play-off semi-final with a dramatic 3-2 comeback win in extra-time.
Galway have been on an incredible run of form since John Caulfield took the reins midway through the season, while Longford finished two points ahead of Caulfield's side during the regular season.

Galway's Marc Ludden said: “I started the season thinking, win the league, that was the ultimate goal," said Ludden.
“Things then just didn’t go the way they were supposed to.
“But over the last ten or 11 weeks we’ve won eight, drew one and lost just two games.
“It’s been brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable. It’s great to have made the play-offs.
“Hopefully we can win tonight and have another ‘cup final’ to look forward to.”
