Watch Frank Lampard and Derby County's play-off heroes sing anti-Nottingham Forest song

There’s nothing quite like rubbing salt into the wounds of your greatest rivals.

And that’s exactly what Derby County manager Frank Lampard and his squad did on Wednesday night.

The Rams produced an inspired comeback to beat Leeds United 4-2 in the second leg of their play-off semi-final at Elland Road and set up a final showdown with Aston Villa on May 27.

Celebrating their 4-3 aggregate win over old foes Leeds, Lampard and his players returned to the Kings Head in Duffield, where more than £2,800 was spent on the bar tab.

During their post-match shenanigans at the newly reopened country pub, the Rams’ players opted to have a little sing-song about Nottingham Forest which was recorded on video.

On the terraces, Rams fans often sing a song encouraging their fellow fans to bounce up and down, and if they don’t, it’s politely suggested they are Reds, and that was the choice of tune the jubilant players enjoyed.

Throughout the campaign, Lampard, in his first season in management, has often been encouraged to ‘start the bounce’ by Rams supporters, and he did similar with his players on Wednesday evening.

Is it time for Nottingham Forest to take a leaf out of Derby County's book this summer?

Despite failing to score a goal against Forest in their two Championship games this season, drawing one and losing the other, Derby secured their play-off place with a final day win over West Brom, before overcoming Leeds to give them a shot of Premier League promotion at Wembley later this month.
