Watch former Ohio State QB Tate Martell throw nice TD pass at Miami scrimmage

He may be gone from Ohio State, but many scarlet and gray eyes are still on Tate Martell to see how his talents are going down on South Beach. According to first-hand accounts, his first scrimmage in South Florida didn’t go so well, but he apparently bounced back in Orlando this weekend.

In fact, Martell threw for two TDs in his time on the field, one coming on a nice throw to the outside shoulder of the Miami wide-receiver to where only the offensive player could catch it.

Martell has been criticized for his ability to throw sharp passes on a consistent basis, and he is deep in the middle of a three-quarterback race down in Miami despite transferring thinking he could play immediately.

Passes like these will go a long way in trying to separate the former National High School Gatorade Player of the Year. Unfortunately for now, he was the third quarterback to come on the field. Read into that what you will.

We’ll be keeping an eye on how this all shakes out once fall ball starts in Miami.
