WATCH: Former Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins throws first NFL preseason touchdown

While it may just be preseason, former Ohio State quarterback standout and No. 15 overall 2019 NFL Draft selection QB Dwayne Haskins slung his first touchdown in a Washington Redskins uniform.

Although his Redskins lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, for the rookie to air out a dime right on point for six points has to get a monkey off his back. It was even more notable given Haskins’ early struggles in the preseason.

Also, it’s important to note that this wasn’t any common five-yard throw. This touchdown was an absolute dart, showcasing exactly why Haskins was one of the top quarterbacks in the 2019 Draft.

That said, here’s the play that got Haskins on the board.

Unfortunately this throw was just one of a few bright spots for Haskins. Stripped from the back on one play and sacked three times, Haskins completed just half of his attempts for 114 yards.

Unlike in his preseason debut, Haskins didn’t throw an interception which is a plus. Overall, Haskins still clearly has a good bit learn at the NFL level, but you’ll see more and more of these moments going forward.
