Watch: Former Dublin glamour model reinvents herself as business woman

Glamour model Bridget Byrne, better known as Ava Van Rose, wants to reintroduce herself to the world as a business woman, mother and real person behind the reality TV persona.

Ava recently launched her makeup line AVR in the Hudson Rooms in Liffey Valley, where she donned a dress by esteemed Dublin designer Claire Garvey.

With her teenage daughter Toni standing beside her, Ava explained to Dublin Live that she wants to step away from the public's idea of her, making the journey from glamour model and reality TV star to business woman, mother and most importantly, a person.

Ava revealed: "I've been a reality TV star for the past six years and I really want to bring my makeup to [people]. I feel like I get to really show my real character and make it a success.

"Being a mother of four children and trying to succeed in an industry and to be an individual has been hard."

Ava, who has previously been coined as Dublin's most surgically enhanced woman, appeared on Virgin Media's Eating with the Enemy opposite founder member of the Muslim Sisters of Eire Lorraine O'Connor. In her introduction on the show, she revealed that she had undergone two breast augmentations, liposuction on her back and had "my nose done, my chin done and two Brazilian butt lifts."

Wanting to step away from her previous public persona, Ava explained to Dublin Live that she felt "empowered" launching her own makeup line:

"I can't believe that I'm actually at the launch of my own cosmetic line. I feel very empowered. I think with me being able to do this, I think it's being able to tell other women that their dreams can come true as well."

"I want to break away from that and bring to the world me as a mother, me as a person and me as a business woman," she adds.

Towards the end of the night, Ava became emotional, uttering: "This is a new beginning for me."
