Watch former Celtic star and Manchester United target Moussa Dembele score classy Panenka penalty

Many Celtic fans view Odsonne Edouard as the natural successor to Moussa Dembélé, and the Parkhead striker continued his fine season with a cheeky Panenka penalty during Thursday's 3-1 Europa League defeat to FC Copenhagen.

That mixture of confidence, technique and composure has had fans wondering how long they can hold on to Edouard, with many believing he'll soon follow in Dembélé's footsteps with a move to a more prestigious league.

It was Dembélé, however, who followed in Edouard's footsteps last night with his own Panenka.

Having given fifth-placed Lyon a first-half lead against St-Etienne, Dembélé sealed a 2-0 victory deep into injury time at the Groupama Stadium with his classy spot kick.

It took the 23-year-old's tally to 22 goals in 40 games this season, a run of form that has had the likes of Manchester United watching with interest.

With a figure of £80million being mentioned as a potential price-tag, any move would be of considerable benefit to former club Celtic. When they sold the Frenchman to Lyon in 2018 for £19.7million, Celtic included a sell-on clause that should entitle them to between 10 and 15 per cent of the fee.

If Dembele continues to impress with the sort of impudent finish he provided last night, Lyon won't be the only ones who stand to benefit.
