WATCH: Football fever takes over EK school ahead of Euros clash with England

Football fever has taken over an East Kilbride school ahead of Scotland's Euros clash with the Auld Enemy tomorrow.

Pupils and staff at Sanderson High are getting behind our national side with their own take on Yes Sir, I Can Boogie.

A YouTube video shows flags adorning the school with footie fans of all ages well and truly boogying on down.

Acting head teacher, Katie Robinson, told Lanarkshire Live: "The pupils seemed to really enjoy the video and it was the PE department who came up with the idea to get them revved-up about the football.

"We try and do videos and various things on social media as much as possible. It makes things more accessible for parents and initiates conversations and discussions."

"It's also nice to do things as a group - where possible at the minute, restrictions allowing."

She added: "Everyone at the school is right behind the national team and we will all be cheering them on tomorrow!"

Sadly, Scotland didn't get off to a flyer against the Czech Republic - losing 2-0 - but Sanderson will join the rest of the nation in cheering on Scotland at Wembley tomorrow in their game against England.

The Scotland squad’s adoption of the seventies hit originally started as a tribute to Aberdeen defender Andrew Considine, who filmed a parody video of the song at his stag do.

In a viral clip from 2020 the squad are seen singing the disco jingle in the dressing room after qualifying for the Euros for the first time in 23 years.
