Watch: 'Fit as a fiddle' grandad shows off his incredible boxing skills in impressive video

It's safe to say that not many people would associate a boxing ring when they think of someone approaching 90 years old.

Dubliner Stephen Maher has shown that age is just a number, as he is still as fit as ever at the ripe old age of 89.

The Ballyfermot native, one of the founding members of St Mathews boxing club, can be seen laying into the punching bag like prime Muhammad Ali in the video, which has gone viral on his granddaughter Ciara's Twitter account.

Stephen trains every morning at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, and has even impressed so much that he has received free membership to the gym as a reward.

You wouldn't know he was only an amateur boxer back in the day, as he shows reflexes as good as any in the business.

The video was met with positive reaction across social media, with the official Amazon Prime Sport account calling it "Awesome".

Irish professional boxer Gary O'Sullivan also labelled the video 'class'.
