Watch fire crews tackle massive blaze in Glasgow's south side

Fire crews are tackling a blaze in the south side of Glasgow.

The fire broke out at a commercial building in Seaward Street just after 3.30am on Monday.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.

A police cordon has been placed on Seaward Street blocking the entire road.

The road connects Paisley Road to the M8 slip road and the turn off at Kinning Park, causing havoc for early-morning commuters.

Disruption is expected to continue into rush hour.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews were called to a commercial building at Seward Street at around 3.37am.

"Operation control mobilised nine fire appliances and crews are at the scene.

"Police are also in attendance as the fire is likely to cause significant traffic disruption this morning."

First Bus announced one of their services would be disrupted as a result of the blaze.

A tweet from their official account read: "“Due to an incident on Seaward Street, the 90 bus is currently diverted.

“ The 90 bus towards Parkhead will continue on Paisley Road West, right on Tradeston St, right on Cook St, left on Scotland St, left on Sheilds Streer.

"Apologies in advance. “
