Watch: Falcons WRs Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley practice toe drag catches

Julio Jones does most things better than most wide receivers. One area that he’s the undisputed king in is the sideline toe drag catch. His all-time great reception in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LI was only the most visible example. The truth is Jones makes similar plays often enough that they’re routine to Falcons fans.

How did Jones get so good at it? If you guessed countless hours of practice and repetition, that’s probably right on the money. Watch Jones warming up with second-year wide receiver Calvin Ridley in Canton before tonight’s Hall of Fame Game against the Broncos, per Justin Felder at Fox.

Ridley is going to learn to do a lot of things from Julio at a level that no other receiver in football can teach him. This is one of them.

As for tonight’s game, don’t get your hopes up to see either one. Jones says he’s not playing in the preseason this year and Ridley has been limited at practice by a tight hamstring the last few days of training camp.
