WATCH: Falcons trade Mohamed Sanu to New England for second-round pick

The Patriots are getting help at wide receiver. The Atlanta Falcons have traded Mohamed Sanu to New England, getting a second-round pick in return.

Sanu played all seven games for the Falcons this season, collecting 313 yards and a touchdown on 33 receptions. He’ll help provide stability to a receiving corps that’s seen injuries to Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett and Josh Gordon throughout this season.

The receiver took to Twitter once news of the trade broke Tuesday morning, thanking the Falcons organization, teammates and fans for his (almost) four years in Atlanta:

I appreciate everything the organization has done for my family & I. Mr. Blank, TD, Coach Q, & everyone through the organization, I am forever grateful for the opportunity. To my Teammates & fan y’all know how I feel about y’all love y’all to death. #ThankYou
