Watch: Falcons players arrive for first day of voluntary 2019 workouts

Every journey begins with a single step. Today, the Atlanta Falcons took their first towards the 2019 season. Voluntary workouts began in Flowery Branch and the team shared some videos of several star players arriving.

Here’s a quick look at a couple of them.

RB Devonta Freeman

S Keanu Neal

Not every name player for the Falcons came, though. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and wide receiver Julio Jones were absent, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Both players are negotiating long-term contract extensions with the team.

The operative word here is voluntary, so there’s no cause for concern, especially at this stage of the offseason. Owner Arthur Blank has stated that both Jarrett and Jones will be Falcons for life.
