Given the current state of the franchise, it may be tough for Atlanta Falcons fans to remember what greatness looks like. With the team on its bye week, let’s take a minute to remember former Falcons legend Deion Sanders, one of the greatest players to ever step onto an NFL field.
In USA Today’s list of the top 100 players of all-time, Sanders was ranked at No. 16. That’s especially impressive since defensive backs don’t generally get the same kind of recognition that quarterbacks or defensive ends do.
NFL Network broke down how Sanders changed the way that defensive backs are viewed within the game, during an episode of NFL Game Changers.
