Watch: Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo talks about his journey to NFL

The Falcons decided to make a change after their Week 8 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, just not the one fans were expecting.

With trade rumors swirling at the deadline, the only move the team would make was the surprising release of veteran kicker Matt Bryant. Atlanta then signed Younghoe Koo as Bryant’s replacement.

The 25-year-old previously kicked with the Chargers back in 2017, but has been fighting for an NFL opportunity since. Koo more recently kicked for the Atlanta Legends, a former AAF franchise.

Koo will make his debut in Week 10 against the Saints. Atlanta opened as an 11.5-point underdog for Sunday’s game in New Orleans.
