Watch: Falcons DL Jack Crawford shares workout video

Jack Crawford was one of several unsung heroes for a disappointing Falcons defense in 2018. The eight-year veteran posted six sacks, nine quarterback hits and seven tackles for a loss.

Crawford is not content to rest on his laurels, though. Watch this workout video that he shared on his Twitter page.

Jack Crawford (@j_crawford58) of the Atlanta Falcons knocks out 15 reps on the landmine floor press with 100 pounds on the bar. BEAST! I really like this pressing variation because the arc of the bar puts you in a good position at the bottom of the rep with the elbow slightly tucked, making it easier on the shoulders. Then as you press up, it challenges shoulder stability as the bar travels outside the body, and this increases the core demand as well (this is a great anti-rotation core exercise, too). The setup is simple; you just turn your body around to do the other arm. It’s also a good option for people who have maxed out the dumbbells. Jack was actually shooting for 10 reps here, but I guess the video helped him eek out another five. As a point of reference, I use 100 pound dumbbells for floor press but only 60 pounds on this exercises. I can’t imagine getting hit by this dude, sheesh.

Crawford has one year left on his contract. His base salary for 2019 is $2.55 million, according to Over the Cap. That makes him a bargain if he continues playing at the same level he did last year.
