Watch: Falcons defensive back Chris Cooper trains in the sand

If you’ve ever tried running in the sand you know it’s not as easy as it looks – and it doesn’t look remotely easy.

Watch Falcons defensive back Chris Cooper go to work in the sand in Florida in a video he shared on his Twitter account Sunday afternoon.

After playing college ball at Stony Brook University, Cooper went undrafted last year and eventually signed with the Colts. Unfortunately, he suffered a concussion in the preseason and was waived on the final day of cuts. The Bengals and Chiefs carried him on their practice squads late in the year, but he has not appeared in a live game yet.

Cooper (5-foot-10, 202 pounds) signed a two-year deal with Atlanta earlier this offseason. He should make the roster and compete to be the No. 2 option at two positions, backing up Ricardo Allen at free safety and Damontae Kazee at the nickel cornerback spot.
