Watch: Ezekiel Elliott says ‘I’ve been ready’ to return to Cowboys

Ezekiel Elliott’s holdout appears to be moving toward a resolution that will make Dallas Cowboys fans thrilled.

Elliott returned to Dallas with his agent Monday and told WFAA’s Mike Leslie, “I’ve been ready” when asked if he is set to play.

Agent Rocky Arcenaux had some more to say to the WFAA sports announcer. “Very, very close … the agent said.

When asked if he was ready to play Sunday in the opener against the Giants, Arceneaux said, “I think Zeke showed his commitment by coming back to Dallas.”

And is he in playing shape? “Yes, absolutely. He’s excited about being back in Dallas.”

Reports Monday indicated the sides could be closing in on a mega-deal that could go seven years.

Oh, and another legend returned to Dallas. Dirk Nowitzki returned from China to many cameras.
