PSV did their bit on Wednesday evening, defeating Heracles 4-1 at home, as Tillman scored two and set up another in a man-of-the-match display.
After the full-time whistle went in Eindhoven, Ajax remained 2-1 up away to FC Groningen, who were reduced to 10 men late on.
Despite their man advantage, Ajax succumbed to a 99th-minute equaliser, drawing 2-2 and sending PSV one point clear at the top of the table going into the final matchday.
News of the late Groningen goal filtered through to Eindhoven, and the players, including Tillman, along with the supporters, who had stayed behind in hopes of a title twist in their favour, rejoiced:

Tillman made 43 appearances for Rangers during a loan spell from Bayern Munich in the 2022/23 season.
He joined PSV, initially on loan, in 2023, before the move was made permanent last summer.
The 22-year-old has been a standout for his side this campaign, contributing to 20 goals across 30 appearances in all competitions.
He could now get his hands on the Eredivisie title for the second consecutive season if PSV manage to beat Sparta Rotterdam away from home on Sunday.
