The Arizona Cardinals picked up a 17-13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night in their preseason opener. The win was nice but that wasn’t the story.
The story was how No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray looked in his NFL debut.
He looked good. He finished 6-of-7 passing for 44 yards, and the one incompletion was a great throw while moving away from pressure to his right. It was incomplete because receiver KeeSean Johnson stepped out of bound before catching the ball.
You can see every one of Murray’s plays in the game in the video above. Every throw was delivered on time and with accuracy. They had good velocity. They were good decisions.
It is a good start to build upon.
