Eric Morecambe’s fans have been celebrating his best moments on what would have been his 100th birthday on Thursday (14 May).
The comedian was one half of TV’s most beloved duos alongside Ernie Wise, with their partnership lasting until Morecambe died in 1984 at the age of 58.
Some of Morecambe’s best-loved moments range from the “Singing In The Rain” sketch to André Previn’s famous cameo.
A long-lost episode of The Morecambe And Wise Show, discovered by the charitable trust Film Is Fabulous!, is to be shown on BBC Four on Thursday at 8pm to celebrate Morecambe’s birthday.
