WATCH: Eli Manning thinks OBJ’s claim about the Giants’ popularity is funny

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning thinks that Odell Beckham Jr.’s claim — that people only watched the team while the star wide receiver was there because of him — is funny.

The 15-year NFL quarterback said on NFL Network on Thursday when asked if the comments bothered him, “I don’t think they bothered me. You just kind of shake your head and laugh. We won a few games before he was here.”

Perhaps the two-time Super Bowl MVP was referencing the pair of Lombardi trophies he helped the franchise win, or maybe the simple fact that for the first eight seasons that Manning was the starting QB, the team did not record a losing record. The Giants had just one winning season during Beckham’s five in New York, going 11-5 in 2016.
