Watch Edinburgh-based Danny McAskill performs awesome gravity-defying stunt in city

Stunt rider Danny McAskill has been filmed pulling-off an incredible, gravity-defying stunt in Edinburgh.

The legendary bike star, who has been based in the capital, can be seen clearing a set of ten steps while on his bike. He generates incredible power to propel himself upwards and over his obstacle, while rotating 180-degrees, before doing the exact same thing coming back down.

A video of the jaw-dropping trick, taken near the University of Edinburgh at George Square, was posted to Facebook on Sunday evening and has already been viewed around 90,000 times. Sharing the footage McAskill added: "Went out for a spin around Edinburgh today and thought I'd better visit one of my old haunts... The bottom step of this stair set is a little harsh."

The clip prompted hundreds of comments from impressed fans.

Marcel Boulianne posted: "Incredible skill to control energy like that! Bravo mate!"

Andrew Blackett added: "Superhuman that, do you have a superhero costume under your t-shirt?"

Paul Berolzheimer commented: "Damn dude, where’d you get the anti-gravity bike?"

McAskill, whose videos have been viewed millions of times, has previously frequented Edinburgh landmarks to showcase his unrivalled talent on the bike.

In 2019 he hurtled down the jagged edges of the Salisbury Crags with footage filmed from a camera atop his helmet for extra vertigo-inducing viewing.
