Watch: Eagles’ release video of Orlando Scandrick praising Malcolm Jenkins leadership

The Philadelphia Eagles have responded to Orlando Scandrick’s criticism of Malcolm Jenkins by rallying around their star safety with a bit of hilarious creativity.

Scandrick made the rounds on Fox Sports 1 Friday, ripping the Eagles from top to bottom, specifically targeting Jenkins for his lack of leadership.

“When you wear the C on your jersey, it’s your job to bring guys along. It’s your job to sometimes you need to take the hard down, you need to take the hard job, and you need to bring the thing together. I don’t know if that’s the case.

“You hold out for a contract, you come in, you’re not really making any plays—like splash plays. Then you go down to Minnesota and you’re somehow supposed to be in the half of the field and you end up playing a crosser. That’s not a rookie we’re talking about here. That’s a two-time Super Bowl champ.”

Jenkins responded before practice on Friday, blasting Scandrick as someone the Eagles didn’t need in their locker room anyway. Later on Friday, the Eagles official Twitter account responded as well, releasing video of Scandrick praising Jenkins for his leadership after the Birds safety caused a Vikings fumble.

The Eagles still sound like a team on one accord, but Sunday will definitely tell a lot in terms of where this group is headed.
